In 2010 and 2011, several of us met the weekend that NYYM"s annual session began at Silver Bay. We had such a good time that we're doing it again in 2013 - opening up Pitt Hall, the ACC, and the campground.

We'd love to see you whether you are going to Silver Bay or not. It will be a weekend filled with visiting, playing ultimate Frisbee, singing, blowing bubbles, playing games, swimming, and maybe even doing some work projects.

There will be a special opportunity to share in an open house and dedication of Old Chatham Monthly Meeting's new Meetinghouse on Saturday, July 20. The open house is 2:00 until 5:00 with the dedication scheduled for 3:00pm.

Similar to our New Year's Celebration, Pitt Hall will be the "quieter" building, with times set aside for extended worship and worship-sharing around our hopes for the Yearly Meeting and for the Religious Society of Friends. You are welcome to come for part or all of the weekend. Just let us know that you are coming - and when - so we'll have enough food. We'll end the weekend in time for Friends to travel to Adirondack for worship - so there is no lunch on Sunday.

Youth under 18 staying at Powell House must be accompanied by or sponsored by an adult. Sponsor forms must be completed and returned to Powell House by July 18th. Youth under 18 registering as commuters are welcome between 8:00am and 11:00pm.

Special weekend rate: $200 families; $100 individuals & commuters & campers. Half weekend: Half price.

The Midway Point, a weekend for Friends 35 years old and older.

**Please note: We have included special pricing to encourage family participation.** Individuals are still $220. Families of 1-2 are $220; 3-4 are $330; 5+ are $440. Please add to the "Comment" section in Registration the names and ages of each family member planning to come.

So we are here. We are the grownups. This is a conference about honoring that. We are going to focus on checking where are we now in our lives. Is it what we expected? What had been a surprise? What would we like to add, shift, get rid of in the next chunk of our time?

We hope to create a space of community, whether you grew up in NYYM or if you are a much-needed new member to our clan, where we can take some time to celebrate, mourn, and creatively process what has gotten us to where we are now. And to play with some ideas about what will get us to the next life adventure.

Housing will be in the Anna Curtis Center - with overflow into Pitt Hall and the campground. Please let us know if you have a strong preference when you register. We will do our best.

Children's Program and childcare provided with three weeks notice.

Qualities of the Spiritually Alive, with Philip Gulley.

What do the spiritually alive have in common? What traits and qualities transcend religions and cultures? What makes someone spiritually alive and healthy? Join Phil Gulley for a weekend at Powell House, and explore together the characteristics of spiritual "aliveness." More and more people are moving away from organized religion, but identify themselves as spiritual people. What does it mean to be spiritual, but not religious? How can our Quaker meetings attract those who are spiritually curious or hungry?

Beloved Indiana author and Quaker pastor Philip Gulley has become the voice of small town American life. Gulley is the author of 16 books including the acclaimed Harmony series of novels chronicling life in the eccentric Quaker community of Harmony, Indiana and the best-selling Porch Talk series of inspirational and humorous stories. He is also the author of the recently released theological book, If the Church were Christian, and is co-author of the books If Grace is True and If God is Love, written with James Mulholland.  Phil regularly gives speeches, sermons, and readings, and also conducts workshops throughout the country.  www.philipgulley.org

Annual FIPSH weekend.

We're repeating last year's weekend - it worked so well. F/friends can come to get an energy tune-up as well as provide work for others to offset the cost of a regular weekend.

So many of us have multiple "irons in the fire," whether we have a high stress job, take care of our families, a parent, Friends at Meeting or Church. We forget or put off taking time for ourselves. You can spend the whole weekend doing just that - getting worked on, taking naps, going for a swim or sitting under a tree. Or you may want to combine getting work yourself and working on another.

There will also be F/friends present doing work projects - scraping, sanding, painting, and staining and whatever else needs to be done. Maybe you'd like to offer a foot massage, a back rub, or healing hands to them. There is no formal schedule. Sometime during the weekend we will have a Healing Circle.

Coordinators: Buffy Curtis, Mohawk Valley MM, has offered healing ministry for many years. She is one of the coordinators of the Healing Center at Silver Bay. Ann Davidson, Farmington MM, has also been involved in healing work for many years.

This is an inter-generational weekend.
