Powell House offers more than 20 weekend retreats each year led by gifted and respected leaders, such as Jane Berger, Brent Bill, John Calvi, Linda Chidsey, Ann Davidson, Mikey Edgerton, Elaine Emily, Deborah Haines, Arthur Larrabee, Frank Massey, Sue Regen, Christopher Sammond and Anne Thomas.

Our Retreats explore a variety of areas including Quaker faith, contemplation, healing, Friends' practice, the environment, peace and social justice, and creativity. Some weekends are held specifically for young adults, men, women or those following a 12 Step program.
Weekends include opportunities for spiritual renewal and relaxation in a beautiful setting, and the enjoyment of a caring community.
Powell House offers several intergenerational weekend retreats each year. We have a fall work weekend in October and another each Easter weekend.
Powell House also offers a fun, family-friendly way to celebrate the New Year with an annual conference from December 30 through January 1. Intergenerational men's or women's weekends are also offered.
Most adult and intergenerational retreats are held in Pitt Hall, a large, rambling house, which can provide gathering space for up to 125 people. There are rooms for various size gatherings, a children's playroom, a bookstore and a gift shop. Our dining room can seat up to 70 people. We can accommodate 40 guests overnight in the 14 bedrooms with 10 full and half baths - some attached to rooms and others down the hall. Comfortable furnishing throughout give Pitt Hall a friendly, home-like, and relaxed atmosphere.
Powell House has 57 acres of forests, lawns, gardens, and fields. An outdoor labyrinth, swimming pond, trails through woods, and a campground provide refreshing and rejuvenating outdoor opportunities.
